Cooking Instructions
Our skin-on sea bass fillets are quick and easy to prepare, whether you prefer crispy pan-fried fish, oven baking or the convenience of an air fryer.
For best results: Defrost overnight in the refrigerator and pat dry with kitchen paper before cooking. Season lightly with salt, pepper and a little olive oil.
Pan-Fried – For Delicious Crispy Skin
- Heat a little olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Place the fillet skin-side down and press gently with a spatula for the first 20–30 seconds to prevent curling.
- Cook for approximately 4–5 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
- Turn and cook for another 2–3 minutes, depending on thickness.
- Finish with a knob of butter, fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley.
Air Fryer – Quick & Easy
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
- Lightly brush the fillet with olive oil and season to taste.
- Place skin-side up in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for approximately 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness.
Oven Baked
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced).
- Place the fillet skin-side up on a lightly oiled baking tray.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and herbs.
- Bake for approximately 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness.
Important: Cooking times are approximate and based on fully thawed fillets. Cook until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 63°C.
