Reheating Instructions for Frozen Oven-Baked Butterball Turkey
Here’s a quick guide to perfectly reheating your pre-cooked, frozen Butterball turkey, ensuring it stays juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Follow these steps to enjoy your turkey as if it was just freshly roasted.
Oven Reheating (Recommended)
Preparation Time: Approximately 1.5–2.5 hours
Ideal for: Full turkeys or large portions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the turkey from the freezer and let it thaw for 30 minutes to slightly soften.
- Carefully remove any packaging and place the turkey in a roasting pan with the breast side up.
- Add 1/2 cup of broth or water to the pan to keep it moist during reheating.
- Cover the turkey with aluminum foil to prevent it from drying out.
- Reheat the turkey in the oven:
- For a whole turkey, allow approximately 1.5–2.5 hours.
- For a smaller portion, check every 20 minutes, as it will reheat faster.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the foil for the last 15–20 minutes to crisp up the skin if desired.
- Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture.
